Comfort Company Vicair Versa X Cushion

The Vicair Versa X Cushion by Comfort Company uses hybrid foam and air cell technology to provide a comfortable and supportive wheelchair surface. The five adjustable air chambers feature Comfort Cell technology, which relieves pressure, promotes wound healing and are incontinent-proof. The Vicair Versa X comes with two cover options: Stretch-Air and Comfort Tek.

The Vicair Versa X Cushion is comprised of the cover, a breathable, easy-to-clean mesh liner, the contoured foam front section, five adjustable chambers with Comfort Cell air cells in the rear and a coccygeal inset for pelvic stability. The five adjustable compartments are designed to provide different types of support. The middle compartment provides support for the coccyx. The inner two compartments adjust to support the I.T.s, while the outer two chambers adjust for pelvic obliquity. The contoured foam section in the front is designed to maximize leg positioning and helping ease transfers in and out of the chair.

The Vicair Versa X Cushion’s two cover options provide added support and comfort. The Stretch-Air cover is designed for patient comfort and heat dissipation. The polyurethane barrier also provides incontinence protection. The Comfort-Tek cover is easy-to-clean and designed to help with infection control, as well as incontinence protection. These cover options, paired with the maximum customizability of the cushion, provide a supportive, comfortable surface that protects the user’s skin.

The Vicair Versa X Cushion has the option to upgrade the cover to GlideWear technology, which adds a sheer-reducing pad to the back part of the cushion. This allows more range of movement for the user, as well as promoting healing and lowering the risk of decubitus ulcers in the high pressure areas.
